Light and Shade.

I can’t be anything other than I am.
Obsessive, neurotic, over the top, full of beautiful pain and light and love.
I can’t be anything other than I am.
My mask dissolves as my petals uncurl.
Alive and in this moment.
Sure to fall again into darkness but now knowing that the dark of night always gives way to the light of day.
The ebb and flow of life, knowing in time I will come back up for air.
Bare, see me, take me or leave me.
I thankfully don’t care.
I gloriously can’t be anything other than I am.

If you can’t take in me in my shade then you can’t have me in my light.
